“Very Relaxing Stay”

“We stayed for two nights due to Stansted chaos, leading to a missed flight. We booked two rooms at short notice and we are so glad we chose to stay here. It’s a lovely place, owned and managed by lovely people. The rooms were to a very good standard, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. All in all, it was a very relaxing stay after the disappointment of missing our flight. To anyone looking to stay near Stansted before or after travel I would recommend the White House to one and all. Thank you!”

“Comfortable and Charming”

“We stayed here as a family of 4 before a flight at Stansted. We arrived late so sank into our wonderfully comfortable beds for a great night’s sleep. Our room was well provisioned with tea, coffee, and plenty of soft towels. Breakfast was great with locally sourced produce,  and there was a great selection for both us and our children. Our host, Mike, was great to talk to and has a stunning 15th century home that is both comfortable and charming. Mike also let us know that we could have left our car there for £7per day; good to know for another time!  Whether pre-flight, business, or leisure, I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you Mike!”

“Clean and Cosy”

“I had been very concerned about booking a hotel which I knew we couldn't arrive at until after midnight. Mike was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and just asked us to phone when we were 15 minutes away, despite the fact that check-in closed at 11pm. Even though we arrived with our two young daughters well after midnight, Mike had waited up patiently whilst we unloaded our luggage, which we had to repack for our flight very early in the morning. Our bedroom was warm, clean and cosy. It had been made up to our specifications for four single beds and there was plenty of room for us all. Mike had laid a table for us for breakfast and although we left at 5.30 am we had the opportunity to have juice cereal and toast which was very kind. I cannot praise the White House enough and will certainly stay there again if I am using Stansted Airport.”    August 2019

“Friendly and Accommodating”

“We had a very good breakfast. The room design was lovely and it came with large bathroom. It was very clean and the owners were friendly and accommodating. The garden was lovely if you have time to sit out.”

“Absolutely Stunning”

“The house is absolutely stunning and our host couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived quite late and were catching an early morning flight so didn't really have time to appreciate the surroundings. This is a great location for the airport. Rooms were spotless. The beds were very comfy and a delicious breakfast was laid out for us. We parked the car here for the duration of our trip as well. It was very safe and we would definitely recommend staying here.”

“Lovely, Helpful People”

“A brilliant bath! The rooms were lovely, with lots of character. The hotel is run by lovely, helpful people. We were able to store our bikes in the owner's garage overnight which was perfect for us. This is a brilliant base for cycling the Essex lanes. There were lots of nice touches, including an excellent breakfast.”
